mindful living

the most important one

mindfulness

it is to be totally present in a non judgemental way

so

close your eyes

and just observe your breath as it goes in and out

mindfulness means observing

no analysis

no interpretation

just observation

and now

be aware of the sensations in your body

without evaluation

observe your thoughts and emotions

as they come and go

and now

in your consciousness

observe everything that has happened to you since this morning

just allow the images to come and go

so you woke up in the morning

then you brushed your teeth

you went to work

whatever

just see the images float through the screen of your consciousness

so

please open your eyes

witnessing mindfulness

being the silent observer

is all the same thing

and we cultivate this slowly

by observing the breath

observing our thoughts

observing our emotions

observing the sensations in our body

and then at night

before we go to sleep

you observe whatever happened during the day

as you are going to sleep

you tell yourself

i am going to witness my dreams

it may not happen every day

but you may start to witness your dreams

witness the night in the morning

why are we doing this?

because

when we get into the habit of being the observer

non judgemental observer

then slowly

you begin to realize

oh i am not really my body or my mind

that was a pattern of behavior

that came and it went

it's part of the field of impermanence

but the witness is permanent

you cannot get rid of it

even in your imagination

and the more you cultivate the experience of the witnessing awareness

then you will realize that you are a spirit

through which thoughts and feelings come and go

perceptions come and go

all this comes and goes

that is moving you in the direction of who you really are

tranquility and divine attitudes will be realized

today i'll be mindful of my body

today i'll be mindful of my emotions as they come and go

try to have no addictions no regrets no expectations

no preferences for the next few hours

you move into a space of choiceless awareness

and you'll see things will start to flow

because in this state we are connected to all that exists

mindfulness - witnessing - choiceless awareness

all cultivate a higher consciousness

it's that simple
